The Alpaca Experience

Get up close and personal with one of nature's cutest creatures – the alpaca! Hosted by Mary Burns, the knowledgeable owner of The Crafty Alpaca Farm Store in Avella, PA, this interactive experience will give you the chance to meet an alpaca and learn all about these gentle animals, their care, and how they contribute to farming and yarn production.

This event will take place in the Municipal Park behind the library from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; drop by anytime during the hour. Additionally, The Crafty Alpaca Farm Store will have a selection of high-quality alpaca goods for sale – perfect for anyone looking to take a piece of the experience home. (Both cash and credit are accepted.)

In the event of inclement weather, the experience will be moved indoors to the Sycamore / Hemlock Room. 

This event is free and open to all ages. Please note that a real, live alpaca will be present. Registration is strongly suggested so we have an idea of how many will be in attendance.
