Program Description


Learn how to chop like a chef in this hands-on workshop - just in time for preparing your Fourth of July potato salad! Ben Buchanan, a professional butcher with Community Kitchen Pittsburgh, will talk about selecting, handling, and sharpening knives for the home cook. He will share helpful techniques and demonstrate essential cuts. At the end, vegetables will be set out for participants to practice their slicing and dicing. 

This class is geared towards beginners and those looking to improve their skill sets. Open to adults ages 18 and up. Registration is required and space is limited. Sign ups begin on Monday, May 20.
