Program Description

Body

At 8 o'clock on February 9th, 1964, America tuned in to CBS and The Ed Sullivan Show. But this night was different. 73 million people gathered in front of their TV sets to see The Beatles' first live performance on U.S. soil.

On this 60th anniversary, enjoy an acoustic performance of a collection of The Beatles songs featuring some of their most interesting lyrics and melodies selected mostly from the second half of The Beatles catalog, such as Eleanor Rigby, Strawberry Fields, Here Comes The Sun, and many more.

Whether you are old enough to remember that exciting U.S. introduction to The Beatles 60 years ago, or you just enjoy an evening hour of acoustic guitar, vocal harmonies and songs written by one of the best and most iconic songwriting teams of all time, Lennon and McCartney, we hope to see you there.

Kent and Re are a brother and sister singer songwriting team who have been playing and writing together for many years.  Kent and Re most recently played at Green Tree Public Library back in 2020 performing the show “Homeward Bound: A Tribute to Simon and Garfunkel."
