Program Description

Body

Families with children ages 5 and up are invited to join us for a special program to celebrate, learn about, and witness the almost total (97%!) solar eclipse happening on this very day! We will meet outside the library building for some fun, hands-on activities related the eclipse, the sun, and shadows. Then we'll put on our solar eclipse glasses and take a glimpse of the eclipse at it’s maximum at 3:17 p.m.

Safe solar-filtered glasses will be handed out to in-person attendees, the only other time solar eclipse glasses will be passed out will be at Totality Talk on Saturday, April 6 at 2pm.

This program will be weather dependent, please check the library's website or Facebook page for updates in case of inclement weather. There is no registration needed.
